Wow, it's already day 5! I'm almost through the first week of the workout routine (though I think the second week will be the toughest)
So far I've done Chest and back, CardioX (as an alternative to plyo), Arms and shoulders, and yoga last night. Tonight is legs and back, which I think will go fairly well.
I've decided to do the workout at night. I'm finding it easy enough to make the time for it, however monday and tuesday are killer for me for the next two weeks, so we'll see how it goes.
The soreness that I felt day 2 is slowly starting to go away, but I'm still finding myself hitting what I like to call "pain spots". Spots where I move just right and I get an urge of pain throughout my core or legs. It feels good, to be honest...
Last night doing yoga was INSANE it was like 45 minutes of working on your arms, legs, and core straight... I cannot see any way I'll ever be able to do that the whole way through! But isn't that what P90x is about?
While I can't really see any results (posting pictures day 10), I can definitely feel them. I feel like I walk more upright, have more confidence, but it's still tough getting through these workouts!
Anyway, lunch is over. I'll try to update this as much as possible.

Day 2:... ow...
Alright, so I did my weigh in and pictures last night so you guys know what I'm starting out with. This is also motivation for me as I can look back at it and see where i came from.
So without further ado, the pictures and weight...
And the weight...
So this is what I'm starting with. It's not extremely bad, but not where I want to be.
Day one was chest and back. Needless to say my chest, arms, and back are EXTREMELY sore... I honestly didn't want to get up this morning, but needed to for work. There were lots of pushups/pullups, but overall I really like the P90X system. Tony is funny at times, and I can see where I need to improve.
I'm starting my diet today as well, going to go for a salad with baked chicken and olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette dressing at lunch.
A couple of side notes: I think I'm going to weigh myself once per week on sundays, just after church and before lunch. It'll be easier to keep track of things that way.
I'll make sure to take pictures every 10 days or so as well.
I think that's all for today. I have to do Plyometrics after work... I've heard it's the least fun of any of the workouts.
Gotta stick with it, though!

Day 1: The beginning.
Hey everyone, I'm Adam Boersma. I live in grand rapids michigan, and I'm a 21 year old kid who's nearly done with college. This is going to be my story. I'm going to update this thread, along with a blog that I'm making.
You can find the blog at AdamsFitnessStory.blogspot.com and I'll keep updating pictures (even though I'm honestly going to be really emarassed to take pictures without my shirt on for a while... :(
Anyway, my story.
Through high school, I was captain of the drum-line, and this gave me great exercise. That coupled with a relatively high metabolism meant I was extremely skinny.
Here's a picture of me back in high school so you know what I mean when I say "skinny"... Keep in mind, I don't want to go back to that weight...
Compare that to now... this picture is of me and my niece on my '02 sv650s
I'll post pictures up on the blog later tonight of what I'm starting with. I can't as I'm at work right now.
So what am I doing about it?
Well working out, of course!!!! I'm going to start P90X tonight, as I figure it's perfect doing 90 day workout, having 84 days til vacation.
For the blog, I'm basically just going to take what I post here and copy it there. Or the other way around... don't care. :p
What I'm asking from you guys is to keep me accountable... ask me how the workout's going... I know I'm only 21, but I feel it's something I need to do for myself and could use an extra push...
Thanks!!!
